About Birmingham Fence Pros
Birmingham Fence Pros is a Birmingham fence company for wood, privacy, vinyl, chain link, aluminum, and iron fences, gates, and fence repair. We started with a simple belief: a fence is only as good as the hole its posts sit in.
A City Built on Hard Ground
Birmingham grew up on iron ore, coal, and limestone, and you can still feel it every time you dig a post hole. The same red rock that made this the Magic City sits a foot or two under a lot of yards. It's tempting for a crew to stop short when the auger starts bouncing. That's how a fence ends up leaning after the first big spring storm.
We'd rather break the rock.
What We Believe
Posts are the whole fence
Boards, panels, and pickets get replaced over the years. Posts are supposed to stay. We set them to full depth, drain the bottom of every hole, and use posts rated for ground contact.
A slope deserves a plan
Most Birmingham yards aren't flat. Before we build, we walk the line with you and decide together whether each run should step or follow the grade, so there are no surprise gaps or odd-looking sections on day two.
Honest repair advice
A fence with a few rotten boards or one leaning post usually doesn't need replacing. We'll tell you when a repair is the right call, and when it isn't.
What We Won't Do
- Stop digging because the ground got rocky
- Hang a heavy gate on a standard line post
- Build over a property line we haven't confirmed with you
- Skip the permit or the 811 call
- Leave old posts, concrete, or scrap behind
Who Calls Us
Families in Crestwood and Highland Park who need a privacy fence for a new dog. Homeowners over the mountain in Homewood and Vestavia Hills working within HOA and city rules. Landlords replacing storm-damaged sections. Businesses that need chain link or security fencing installed right. If it's a fence in Birmingham or nearby, we want to hear about it.
