Fence Company in Center Point, AL

Birmingham Fence Pros is a fence company that works in Center Point, a northeastern Jefferson County city about 11 miles from downtown Birmingham. Center Point had 16,406 residents at the 2020 census.

A 1960s Suburb, Incorporated in 2002

Center Point started as a small farm community founded by the Reed family. The 1924 Rock School now serves as City Hall. Growth took off after a water supply was found in 1947, and by the 1960s it was booming: more than 80% of homes in today's city limits were built between 1960 and 1970. In 1967 it was the largest census-designated place in the country, with over 67,000 people. It stayed unincorporated until 2002, when it became a city with much smaller boundaries than the old CDP.

Why So Many Center Point Fences Need Work

A neighborhood built mostly in one decade tends to age all at once. Many fences here are original or second-generation, and we often find:

• Wood posts rotted off at the ground line
• Chain link with rusted ties, bent top rail, and sagging fabric
• Gates that drag because a post has leaned
• Old fences that need to come out before a new one goes in

Repair or Replace?

If the posts are solid, fence repair can add years: new boards, new rails, a reset gate. If the posts are rotted or the fence leans along its whole length, replacement is usually the better value, and we'll show you why.

Common New Fences

• Six-foot wood privacy fences with ground-contact posts
• Galvanized or black chain link fences for dogs and side yards
• Vinyl for a no-stain option

Permits

Since 2002, Center Point has been its own city, so fence rules come from the City of Center Point. Homes outside the city limits fall under Jefferson County. We confirm which applies to your address and call 811 before digging.
