Fence Company in Pinson, AL
Birmingham Fence Pros is a fence company that builds and repairs fences in Pinson, a Jefferson County city northwest of Center Point, about 14 miles from downtown Birmingham. Pinson had 7,215 residents at the 2020 census.

Ridges, Rock, and a New Deal Past
Pinson incorporated in 2004, but the area's history goes back much further. The Palmerdale Homesteads, inside today's city limits, were the first of five farm resettlement communities built in Alabama under President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal, with the first homesteads finished in 1935. Pinson is also home to the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve and the Alabama Butterbean Festival.
The land itself is a series of southwest-to-northeast parallel ridges, with occasional rock outcrops, especially toward the east-facing ridge crests. That's the single biggest factor in building a fence here.
How We Build on Pinson Ridges
- We expect rock. Post holes near ridge crests often hit stone, so we come prepared with rock bars and the right augers, and we price it in up front.
- We follow the slope. On sloped yards we choose between stepped sections, which keep the panels level, and racked panels, which follow the ground.
- We plan drainage. Water runs down the ridges after storms, so we leave room under the bottom rail where it needs to pass.
- We brace the ends. Corner, end, and gate posts on a slope carry extra load, so they get extra depth.
